Job Description:
The successful candidate will lead a cross functional Product Development Team and take accountability for the delivery of a product or set of products to the market.

Main Responsibilities:
· Build a high skill Hardware Development organization, responsive and efficient team which understands function, cost, schedule and quality targets, estimates and commits quickly and accurately, and meets all commitments.
· Direct management of Hardware development resources in UK and USA. Technical Direction of low cost Seagate and vendor resources in Asia.
· Implement and maintain world class development processes for bringing world class products to market with optimized Time to Market and Cost
· As PDT Leader Escalate and Remove Obstacles to deliver completed products on time in line with the roadmap.
· Deliver agreed Quality, Cost and Functionality
· Support Customization and Customer Integration
· Responsible for continuous improvement through closed loop processes that drive improvements in defect density, test cover, reuse, common building blocks, and end to end costs.
· Senior mentor for technical leaders and management
· Engineering Advisor to GM
· Evangelize and help drive change to better align the company with our evolving market place
· Assist Product Management in deciding the OneStor Product strategy
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 15+ years of experience, or MS and 13+ years of working with real time embedded firmware, experience developing (design, implementation, debug) of real time "C" code,

Preferred Experience:
- Multiple years of experience working on massive systems that demand scaling and performance at Hardware and Software level. Deep understanding of devices, firmware and writing real time code that are reliable and has solid RAS capabilities.
- Prior experience in leading a small team of engineers
- Exposure to working with cross-functional teams
- Proven expertise in coming up with innovative firmware algorithms to address NAND reliability challenges in an enterprise environment
- Well versed in different operating systems and associated storage application requirements
- Solid experience with Intel based CPU’s and embedded IO processors
- Able to perform in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with conflicting deadlines and priorities
