Job Description:
Responsible for managing various Accounting functions. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions. Contributes to the development of the organization's business strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.
Directs and oversees various Accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger accounting and
reporting. Directs financial planning process for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategies.
Generates and distributes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Reviews and analyzes monthly financial statements and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
Directs and oversees periodic audits of key operational processes.
Ensures legal and regulatory compliance to GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley for all accounting functions and financial reporting.
Provides leadership and direction to Finance and Accounting staff by setting goals, objectives, performance criteria, and departmental
standards.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong business acumen.
Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language.
Ability to change direction quickly based on data analysis.
Ability to proactively seeking clarification of requirements and direction; take responsibility when needed.
Ability to work in stressful situation when insights in (new) data sets is required quickly.
