The Director of Client Solutions (DCS) is the face of The Ken Blanchard Companies to our clients. The primary responsibility of this sales position is to build business by uncovering a client’s leadership gaps and successfully matching solutions that solve their business issues by improving leadership capacity.

The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in using a consultative approach to client relationship development, and is credible in discussing strategic business issues with senior leaders at the forefront of rapidly changing industries, like technology and health care. Our ideal DCS thrives in environments that require building and maintaining long-term relationships, and is known as a connector – both of people, and of ideas. He or she will have (or is motivated to develop) a point of view on trends in adult learning, and should personally project an affinity for the Blanchard brand, and our leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities:

This role reports to a VP of Regional Sales and collaborates closely with a world-class team of consultants, facilitators, learning specialists and project managers to scope, price, design, and deliver leadership solutions to our clients.

• Identifies and reaches out to target clients to establish new relationships for Blanchard, using a wide variety of means to gain entry into new organizations
• Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior and influential clients that broaden Blanchard’s reach and impact in the business community
• Engages clients in ongoing discussions about their business, understanding the client’s unique business circumstances, challenges, learning and skill needs
• Envisions and sells learning engagements, employing a wide range of Blanchard Core leadership frameworks, tools, and methodologies
• Creates strong partnerships with Blanchard subject matter experts and consultants and engages them in discussions about how to apply their expertise to serve client needs
• Contributes to Blanchard’s global brand reputation as a distinctive provider of leadership solutions

• An energetic and creative problem-solver, with a proven facility for listening to a client’s issues, assessing objectives, and co-developing effective solutions that align with their needs
• Someone who conveys executive presence; has the ability to speak with an appropriate level of business acumen and literacy to senior leaders, and establish credibility as a trusted advisor to our clients, linking their strategic business issues to current and future trends leadership development
• Someone who effectively builds trusted and collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders
• Someone with demonstrated affinity for Blanchard’s values: Trustworthiness, Focus & Clarity, Kenship, Getting to D4, Dialogue and Ownership
• Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
• A collaborative team-player with a good sense of humor
• Someone who thrives in fast-paced, results-oriented environments
• Someone with a demonstrated track record of negotiating and closing large sales (over $100,000)
• Someone who can manage 20+ accounts and dynamic priorities
• Someone who is fluent with technology including Salesforce, WebEx, social media and presenting from mobile devices
• Someone with 3-5 years previous selling experience. Selling experience in human capital or training industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree /Advanced Degree a plus
• Someone located in North America who enjoys working from a home office.

This role will focus on the San Jose market but can be based in another location.
