Job Description:
Flipboard, the world’s first personal magazine used by 10s of millions of people everyday, is looking for a Sales Director for a full-time position based in New York.
Overview/Purpose
Work with the world’s top advertisers to develop strategic and creative marketing solutions that help connect these brands to specific target audiences on the platform. From creative uses of promoted products to developing large-scale content programs, the Sales Director is relied on to come up with big ideas that meet the business objectives of marketers, helping them innovate in new and exciting ways.
Primary Responsibilities
Grow advertising revenue for Flipboard as a direct seller with key clients and their agencies.
Educate senior level clients and their agencies on the unparalleled mobile consumer experience and marketing opportunities that Flipboard offers.
Penetrate key account decision makers across client and agency organizations in a variety of roles including digital media, strategy, mobile, social and content marketing.
Work closely with Sales Manager, Sales Planner and Account Manager on developing go-to market and sustainable partnership strategies to surpass revenue goals
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
8 years experience in digital sales.
Active list of senior level client direct and agency relationships
Proven experience in creative business planning with advertisers.
Deep experience building and iterating business models and growing revenue.
Intimate understanding of sales and product development.
Thrive in fast paced, start up environment.
Previous management experience a plus.
Preferred experience with mobile applications and mobile advertising.
Outstanding communication, organizational and multitasking abilities.
Some travel will be required.
