Manager - Corporate Communications - Facebook - Menlo Park

Job description
Facebook is looking for an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to support a broad portfolio of corporate communications, including corporate announcements, litigation, events, mergers and acquisitions, and company features.The ideal candidate will have experience managing a high-performing team and will be proactive, creative and highly organized. Will have experience with issue and crisis management. Deep media relationships and extensive experience working with senior executives are critical.The candidate will also be able to balance handling a combination of breaking news and real-time requests with managing long-leadfeatures and corporate projects. The ability to ruthlessly prioritize and work on a number of projects at once will be essential. This position is based in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

Manage a broad range of both proactive and reactive projects across the corporate team
Work cross-functionally with product, platform, policy, monetization and international PR teams on individual media opportunities and broader programs
Work with executives and teams across the company, including our product, engineering, finance and legal teams
Proactively identify and pitch stories that showcase Facebook's culture and business
Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople
Manage corporate materials, public statistics and messaging documents for use across the company
Educate press, bloggers, analysts and influencers about core Facebook products and initiatives


Requirements

Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Post-graduate or professional degrees are a plus
8+ years of professional experience, in journalism or communications
Strong project management and decision-making skills
Experience in managing PR agencies and contractors preferred
Deep understanding and passion for Facebook
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Clean and crisp writer
