The Senior Director of Platform Services provides service ownership and technical leadership for the teams responsible for delivering live service operational activities for over 3000 servers and 2.5PB of storage. They will manage and provide continuity of resources and services to ensure that technical implementation activities are in line with embedded organizational processes, standards and business driven priorities. The Director drives on-going service line improvements and proactive maintenance from a technical and process perspective in order to provide performance and stability for the Compute, Storage and Data backup, and archive platforms.
7+ years in a management role providing live service support and project management support.
A solid technical understanding of core Compute, Storage and Data Protection technology, systems and services
Considerable experience and exposure in financial services IT infrastructure roles
Considerable experience and exposure in ITIL framework support organizations; within the ITIL framework the following core skills:
Change management
Release management
Incident management
Service management
A good technical of technical transversal services such as Networks and Databases
Extensive experience with resource planning, identifying resource gaps and appropriate escalation to address gaps and issue
Considerable experience and exposure in financial services IT infrastructure roles
Experience of leading a team of senior technical professionals and managers
Experience of driving delivery of technology projects
Experience of developing and managing a budget and resource plans
Experience of strategy definition/translation
