In this key leadership role, you will lead retail store design (architecture, fixtures, colors, etc.) across all touch points to improve acquisition, loyalty, retention and profitability. The Director will actively engage senior executives, key stakeholders, peer teams, and business partners to lead the ongoing evolution of the store design.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Oversees the creative vision of store design and creates holistic visual, retail strategies to enhance and drive sales.
Sets creative direction and oversees all creative output ensuring optimal resource allocation within the team; demands high standards of execution and ensures good communication from team to all stakeholders.
Ensures consistent and inspiring in-store POV across all customer touch points (in-store design, signage, windows, etc.).
Provides inspiration for store interior and exterior displays.
Leads team to build budget for creative in-store enhancements and source items
Responds to marketing briefs, setting creative vision and concepts for the creative designers.
Builds appropriate creative resource and oversee project from concept to execution.
Partners across Marketing and Business to ensure clear and integrated point of view for stores across store exterior, interior and visual merchandising.
Oversees department workflow and tracking project status through regular production meetings, communicating priorities, progress reporting to stakeholders, identifying and resolving issues and ensuring that designers adhere to agreed timelines.
Qualifications
10+ year’s management and leadership experience in retail store design, architecture and styling, preferably for a luxury retail brand.
Passion for creativity, design and innovation with the ability to respond to marketing challenges on time and within budget
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority with proven program/project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and redefined priorities
Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present and work with senior leaders
Keen understanding of the elements required to define and develop a leading customer experience
Ambitious, enthusiastic and flexible. Innovative thinker with the ability to work with a variety of personalities
Strong follow up, organization and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficiency on Adobe creative suite, Photoshop, In Design and Smart Draw
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office
BA or BS preferred
