As a Global Citizenship Leader, you are fully dedicated to shaping the future of a company’s CSR effort, moving it beyond “responsibility” to one of seizing new “opportunities.” You are passionate about delivering at the cross section of Social, Environmental and the bottom line. You will focus not only on “doing less bad” but increasing on ways to “do more good” including the Flextronics Foundation. As a strategist, you will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and advancing new and existing initiatives, addressing concerns and opportunities among stakeholders including environmentalists, NGOs, policymakers and other influencers. This position will also drive program implementation necessary to provide transparent reporting to meet external stakeholder expectations and to promote a positive company image. The successful candidate will contribute to broader environmental sustainability and social innovation initiatives by interfacing with Flextronics business units, site and functional committees to deliver results through influence and communicating effectively with clients. You will work closely with the VP of Corporate Marketing and Global Citizenship to expand and elevate the Company’s external stakeholder engagements, promoting awareness, transparency and mutual benefit. This role will provide you with the opportunity to define and build operational processes for a high-growth team, scaling marketing to be a high-performing organization within Flextronics, the industry and the Global Citizenship community.
Develop global citizenship strategies and programs, promoting environmental and social innovation, while achieving company objectives.
Work in conjunction with CSER Operations team to influence and drive execution of key initiatives.
Analyze, assess and recommend both conservation and growth opportunities.
Develop and manage key projects and programs in line with the Company’s environmental sustainability effort.
Collect, analyze and communicate key data and metrics, tracking progress against Company goals.
Audit, analyze and report environmental performance, both internally and externally to key stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Promote and raise awareness of the impact of emerging environmental and human rights issues.
Create educational campaigns to promote environmental stewardship.
Assess and manage existing relationships with NGOs, policymakers and influencers.
Identify and pursue new partnerships with NGOs, policymakers and influencers.
Actively participate in brainstorming about business development and partnership opportunities for thought leadership.
Maintain and develop in-depth expertise on innovative strategies currently employed.
Actively engage stakeholders to anticipate, avoid or resolve conflicts constructively as they arise.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders to elevate the Company’s reputation as a responsible global citizen.
Collaborate with NGOs and policymakers to establish job-skills training, enhancing the skill set of current employees.
Increase sense of corporate transparency by teaming up with current employees and NGOs to promote best practices at the work place.
Execute program and event sponsorships in conjunction with key stakeholders (both internally and externally).
Define communication, decision-making strategies, deliverables and timelines with key stakeholders. Assess progress in relation to deliverables and timelines.
