Job description
Lead D&S product, processes, and services organization to achieve business results and simplify the customer experience. Position requires a leader with demonstrated business acumen that has breadth of experiences across multiple functions. Intense cross functional and matrix influence skills required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION & KEY DELIVERABLES
Leads all aspects of the $200M (annual revenue) US Navy business within D&S Defense Aftermarket Americas
Communicates with multiple US Navy Commands (NavAir, NavSea, NavSup), Program Management Offices, and Maintenance Depots to define and influence business requirements
Delivers business financial results:
Revenue and margin
AOP execution
Accounts receivable
Leads the US Navy organization (Customer Business Managers, Program Managers, functional resources) to deliver on business objectives and customer commitments and meet the organization's mission
Identifies opportunities and executes specific plans to improve the overall performance and profitability of the US Navy business
Acts as the lead business negotiator in closing multi-year life cycle support contracts, with value exceeding $100M
Develops and leads the execution of business strategies in alignment with the overall D&S and MPM strategic direction
Leads the execution of all US Navy Development programs and is responsible for maintaining good and consistent program performance within budgets and requirements
Acts as an enabler, drives the operating system in promoting and implementing growth acceleration initiatives through Retrofit, Mods & Upgrades, Spare Sales Initiatives and Maintenance agreements.
Understands the competitive environment, develops and implements mitigation plans and leads their execution
Follows adherence to the Management Operating System
Communicates on broad business requirements and trends with extended organization and D&S leadership
Develops people - Coaches and mentors to build organizational capability, talent and bench strength
Champions and advocates purposeful change in alignment with the broader organizational goals and direction
Identifies and implements productivity improvements to continuously improve business performance
Instills a culture of ownership, responsiveness, innovation and accountability throughout the organization
Innovates to achieve significant process improvements that yield tangible productivity gains and improved business performance
Escalates issues within the organization, as appropriate

Year over year business performance improvements: Growth, profitability and win rates
Monthly / Quarterly financial performance and AOP execution: Revenue, margin, accounts receivable
Quarterly Voice of the Customer ratings and customer issue resolution actions
Success rate of targeted initiatives
New program performance metrics: Milestone fidelity, cost, schedule, scope management, IPDS compliance
Organizational talent insertion and development
Adherence and execution of the Management Operating System

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations.
10 years of business experience, including but not limited to program management, business management, contacts, engineering, sales, operations, finance, customer support with proven track record of effective program and customer management.
18 years of experience and knowledge of fundamental program management principles, ability to work effectively with ISC, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Pricing, Contract, and Customer & Product Support to achieve successful outcomes.
Green belt certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar discipline
Working knowledge of business and financial fundamentals (Profit & Loss, Investment Analysis, Balance Sheet, Green Sheets).
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and take quick actions to execute.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
