Job Description
As Prudential Annuities is recreating a strategy team, this role will be a critical first step in the strategic process. Responsible for determining the position of the Retail Annuities division, this is a key role in providing information to the senior management team for setting strategic goals of the business moving forward. The role will require the following;
Collect and synthesize large amounts of information from internal and external sources
Analyze quantitative and qualitative business information and data in a structured way to find patterns, relationships, trends or variations
Collaborate with other team members to address and answer complex business hypotheses or questions through research, analysis, and critical thinking techniques
Research, analyze and monitor data that impacts the annuity business such as strategic issues, macro trends, micro trends, customer insights, employee input, internal capabilities and competitive landscape.
Establishing relationships with reporting teams to ask probing questions where a deeper understanding is required
Understanding key reporting and data analytics to request additional reports as needed
• Present findings in a professional and logical format based on clear logic for the senior team using written, slides, and oral formats.
The successful candidate will report to a senior leader of the organization and will require self motivation, excellent communication skills, collaboration with a variety of other departments and intellectual curiosity.
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of determination, maturity, patience, poise, attention to detail and presence with the ability to interact with senior management and strong personality types.
Work in a self directed manner to produce accurate, flawless, well documented work products with strict attention to detail and complete follow-up and follow through.
Aptitude for research and analytical work and demonstrated strengths in problems solving and logical thinking
Multi-task under time sensitive conditions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding big picture impact of data trends
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3-6 years experience in financial services
Experience with report creation or development
Shelton location preferred but will consider alternative with some travel to Shelton required
Bachelors degree required
