Director - LEAN - Ridley - Minneapolis

Job description
The Director of LEAN position is located at our corporate office in Mankato, MN and reports directly to the President & CEO. Responsibilities of the position include:
Provide leadership in the areas of LEAN manufacturing, administrative LEAN and general continuous improvement strategies, including the development and implementation of plans that result in elimination of waste

Provide hands on guidance and assistance to LEAN and continuous improvement projects
Create a working knowledge of LEAN and continuous improvement tools, techniques and methodologies with all employees
Ensure consistent use of appropriate LEAN metrics, reports and project tracking.
Ensure consistency in the development and deployment of tools, techniques, terminology and SOP’s
Develop LEAN expertise across the organization by training employees with appropriate techniques, tools and methodologies.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates will possess:
4-year degree with 6 or more years of relevant and progressive experience in manufacturing and/or LEAN environment
Experience leading change at various levels of the organization
Thorough understanding of LEAN principles
Solid communication skills and computer skills
Experience in a ISO9001 environment would be an asset
