Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Engineering in Austin, TX for a full time position. We are looking for a proven senior leadership candidate with a minimum of three years in a management or director level capacity. Our ideal candidate would have experience building a team from the ground up, directing development projects and playing an active role in architecture and product initiatives.

Overall Leadership
You will lead local and offshore software engineering teams in the architecting, development, testing, documenting, and implementation of strategic platforms, solutions, services, and tools. In our competitive landscape, you will need to establish standards, teams, tools, and shared processes that deliver high quality, low risk solutions both quickly and predictably.

You will know how to adjust and transform people, processes, and behaviors from waterfall to more Agile approaches and methodologies that coexist synergistically within our overall cross-functional, release management processes.


Required Skills/Expertise
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years hands-on enterprise application, SaaS development
5+ years managing local and remote development, engineering teams
Experience architecting and engineering high availability, highly scaling, low latency solutions for SaaS, web services, enterprise databases, multi-tenancy software environments
Proven ability to architect and operate small to large scale enterprise applications
High attention to detail including precise and effective documentation and communications
Understand and discuss technical concepts, tradeoffs, and opportunistic new ideas with both business and technical team members
Thinks strategically, executes methodically and tactically, delivers with integrity
Superior verbal and written communications skills
Composed, poised and professional demeanor
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
