Director Strategic Planning & Analysis Fidelity Investments Providence

Job Description
This Director of Strategic Planning & Analysis is responsible for developing timely analytics and managing the long-term / strategic staffing plans to support Fidelity Branches. This individual will also assist in the design/development of new planning tools, provides analysis to support the broader planning process and drives new and unique approaches to solve problems advancing the overall output of the team.


Primary Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for managing and performing ad hoc business analysis regarding a variety of performance drivers such as changes in rep levels, attrition rates, customer demand drivers, new product or service offerings and opportunity analysis.

This position continually provides support (business metrics analysis and recommendations) to senior management and business partners in a timely manner. This requires on-going communication with key business partners, channel leaders and operational sites to identify and communicate key opportunities and risks impacting performance. This individual will also present options and recommendations to senior management and communicate final strategy to appropriate personnel for implementation.

The main focus of this job is to provide analysis, subject matter expertise and formal recommendations to help guide senior management in determining staff planning needs, capacity analysis, and other operational decisions. This is achieved by developing models and analyzing various scenarios to determine functional impacts as well as broader implications to the channel.

Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
Undergraduate Business Degree required
Minimum of 10 years business experience with 5+ years of related operational experience
Ability to present recommendations to senior management and business partners
Proven track record of working effectively in a flexible, fast paced work environment
Financial Services/Brokerage industry experience is preferred

Skills and Knowledge
Analytical, communication, planning coupled with advanced Excel / database skills
Strong presentation skills – framing a message and presenting complex ideas with advanced PowerPoint / presentation skills

Time Management / Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities
Perform under tight time constraints
