Director Project Strategy Business Development Lenovo Raleigh

Job Description
The Project Director will lead the management of business development projects for the Enterprise Business Group. He/She will be immersed in new disruptive technologies and products while playing a key role in the business development of new businesses and growth opportunities for EBG. He/She must have a strong leadership presence and have the ability to communicate with Sr. executives from external partners/companies as well as Sr. executives within Lenovo. He/she must also have a good grasp of technology and the directions in the market. The scope for this role will span varied emerging HW and software components, therefore it will require a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging solutions evolving in the industry. The selected candidate will leverage a deep technical competency, creativity, and a “drive for results” attitude to construct innovative value for our customers.

This candidate must have strong project management skills that can both move a program along to completion end to end, and immerse him/herself into the deal while working with the Business unit, corporate M&A and strategy teams.

In this position the selected candidate will establish and maintaining a strong partnership at all levels of the organization. Effective multitasking and delegation skills are critical to success, as is independent, risk decision making capability. • At least 10 years of Strategic Business Development Experience in related industry.

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop full scale project plans
• Assemble and coordinate project staff
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• The position requires the ability to matrix manage, develop complex solutions, and build consensus on move forward plans.
• Technical acumen and strategic thinking including strong understanding of SW, Storage and networking technologies
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, organize and problem solve. Ability to orchestrate and drive complex strategy projects inside a major corporation.
• Strategic thinker with a keen ability to interpret market trends and identify product leadership opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively cross-culturally and across multiple time zones
• Technical Skills
Familiarity with the latest Intel server designs and specifications.
Working understanding of development processes and management systems
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
Possess strong business and financial acumen.
• Teaming and Communications
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
Executive presence and command skills to interface to Lenovo and customer executives.
Ability to work effectively cross-culturally and across multiple time
