Director - Loyalty Direct Marketing - American Express - New York

The Membership Marketing organization is responsible for the end to end prospect and loyalty marketing to U.S Card Members. The Director of Loyalty Marketing on the Direct Marketing team will be tasked with conceiving and leading transformative loyalty initiatives and developing ongoing marketing touch points to drive customer engagement. This Director will oversee early tenure treatments, tenured benefit reinforcement marketing and pre-retention strategies in the direct marketing channels.
The Loyalty Marketing team’s focus includes driving quantifiable improvements in NPS, Spend and Retention leveraging big data capabilities, triggers, and broad scale and targeted marketing treatments. The director will lead a team of six marketers and be critical liaison for partners across the Blue Box who desire to communicate to Card Members.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead, inspire and support a team of six marketers
• Drive key performance metrics in the early tenure journey through critical direct marketing touch points
• Identify new marketing treatments to drive tenured customer loyalty and NPS
• Support marketing new product launches and product refreshes to all Card Members
• Communicate new benefits and product changes in a timely and relevant way
• Partner closely with our internal partners including WS, Information Management, DCE, GCO, DPD, OPEN, Compliance and Finance
