The Director of Global Product will be responsible for driving the vision and executing the continued evolution of Expedia's alternative lodging products. This individual will work closely with the business and the technology teams to create and implement a compelling global partner product that gets better every day. Key Responsibilities & Experiences:
Working closely with teams across Expedia Inc., you will lead the product strategy for Expedia's Vacation Rental and Alternative Lodging products.
Specific responsibilities include:
Collaboratively define and implement the Alternative Lodging product strategy.
Define the vision and oversee the development of detailed business requirements for Alternative Lodging initiatives.
Develop a best in class lodging product organization through the coaching and development of Expedia's product managers.
Coordinate with stakeholders across Expedia, Inc. to drive integration of strategic initiatives and resolve resource and scheduling clashes on cross-functional projects.
Set, track, analyze and communicate the business goals for the global lodging product, providing a single point of contact between Product, Technology and Business units.
Build effective executive relationships across internal Expedia teams and functions.
Collaborate with the development teams to drive productivity, development velocity and a world-class culture.

Competencies, Knowledge and Behavior:
8+ years' experience understanding, communicating, and prioritizing technology business requirements in a role such as Product Planner, Product Manager, or Program Manager
2-3 years' experience in managing team managers
Solid understanding of hotels business, primarily around vacation rentals
Strong proven history of growing and developing product managers into leadership roles
Track record of building strong agile teams
Self-starter with demonstrated strengths managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to completion with limited direction
Proven skills at cultivating strong working relationships and driving collaboration across multiple business and technical teams
Proven executive influencing skills; able to push back on business partners while maintaining productive relationships
Demonstrated ability to design, build and manage highly complex projects
Proven knowledge of e-commerce standards and best practices
Strong track record of managing complex project schedules, resources and communications
Proficiency in Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Minimal travel is required - applicants must have the ability to travel internationally including Europe, Asia and Latin America
