Senior Director - Art - ACS - Amazon - Seattle
Job description
We are looking for a conceptual thinker, someone able to demonstrate their experience of working on big ideas and big campaigns for Amazon products and services. You aren’t afraid to write copy, and also be genuinely passionate about the bigger picture, driven by to guide your ideas across a variety of campaigns that cross disciplines and channels. Partnering with the Creative Directors, will have the ability to question briefs, lead the thinking across multiple stakeholder meetings and have a real thirst for ideas.
Responsibilities
Develop and strengthen brand assets, including style and usage guides, and collaborate with the design community around the world to ensure consistent use
Lead our content-related solutions (copy, imagery, video, social engagement, web design, and more!)
Mentor and inspire designers around the world, and attract/retain the best performers
Enhance the team knowledge of best design practices and trends in digital marketing and design
Work with design managers to improve the efficiency of the creative team
Present creative solutions (design and messaging) to executive managers around the world
Understand and respond to promotion performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating visual branding, online marketing, and great user-centered design solutions
Minimum of 8 years of experience in web design/online marketing
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to executive management
Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and AfterEffects
An expert understanding of the trends in retail and digital marketing. Has a passion for advertising/marketing, keeps pace with it, and loves talking about it and champion smart brands
Experience defining or maintaining a design style guide or branding guidelines
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to executive management
Experience in photo art direction and managing photo shoots
Illustration experience
Knowledge of information architecture, usability, and UI Design
The ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or AfterEffects
