Job description
This position will play an essential role in the solution development and growth of Legal Managed Services (LMS) Financial Risk and Compliance Solutions.
This individual will partner with our clients and prospects to identify opportunities for LMS to support their evolving needs in the Client On Boarding, OTC Derivatives Documentation and Reference Data spaces. Furthermore, the individual will work with the LMS delivery team to onboard clients, scope projects, and develop our next generation of services.
The Director of Financial Market Solutions is a senior role focused on growing our business through the development of new clients and prospects. This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial and accomplished Derivatives expert with demonstrated aptitude for driving thought leadership and business development. The role requires an executive that can navigate complex organizations and align our services to business challenges.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services ecosystem. The candidate should have 5 – 7 years of hands-on experience either at a global financial services organization/institution, a major consulting firm, or at an AM LAW 100 firm. The individual must excel at establishing and fostering executive level connections both in and out of the legal space. Culturally, the candidate must be able to thrive in a rapidly evolving, fast paced environment. The role requires somebody who can adeptly “roll up their sleeves” to both create and deliver compelling solutions.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly analyze and understand current and potential changes in the OTC Derivatives/Client Onboarding landscape, and work to adjust our solutions and branding to meet evolving client needs
Establish and maintain relationships at the senior most levels in large financial institutions and partners.
Operate collaboratively in a rapidly evolving environment with highly motivated teammates
Educate and inform financial institutions of the value propositions surrounding LMS.
Collaborate with clients, LMS sales executives, and delivery/operations throughout the sales cycle to design and build compelling, high-quality sales presentations, proposals, etc.
Understand and comply with LMS’s sales methodology and effectively engage required resources throughout the process in order to increase close rates.
Represent the company in the industry and to the general public
Perform sales forecasting, account planning and other related tasks needed to grow assigned business profitably
Requirements
University or College degree; JD strongly preferred
5+ years’ related compliance experience, ideally in-house, with a major consultancy, or with top tier law firm
Experience crafting service solutions for compliance challenges
Detailed knowledge of current regulatory schemes/challenges in financial services
25% travel for prospecting and client management
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the major technology players in the Financial Services space
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow relationships and negotiate deals effectively
Excellent analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills
Expert knowledge of the sales cycle
Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of C level executives
Strong business acumen, ethics and high integrity
