Job description
The Director, IT Electric Operations Strategy & Planning is responsible for creating and implementing the Electric Operations (EO) IT strategy and roadmap in line with the EO strategic objectives. The Director is responsible for aligning the ITstrategy, services, investment decisions, and delivery structures and processes with the EO line of business and participates in enterprise technology planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology/industry as it relates to the EO line ofbusiness.
The Director serves as the IT EO liaison for the Enterprise strategy and is responsible for ensuring that the IT EO strategy is aligned with the Corporate IT organization direction and objectives. The Director directs a team responsible for customerrelationship management, solution/portfolio strategy and planning, requirements definition and management, program and project management, testing/quality assurance, application development and support. The Director builds and maintains effective relationshipswith IT EO partners for business requirements, issues resolution and sustained overall customer satisfaction.

Required

•B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, business administration or otherrelevant field required.
•12+ of relevant technical experience
•8+ years of supervisory and leadership experience over an IT function

Desired

•M.S. or M.B.A. degree in business administration or computer science
•Utility industryexperience
•Demonstrated deep knowledge of Electric Transmission & Distribution (T&D) applications (i.e., OIS/DMS, OMT, ILIS, OMT, E-SLIC, SLIC, AutoCAD, CEDSA, CYME, DART, GEMS, FFE, Microstation, JET, ESRI GIS, ECTS, EDMS, Syclo, Ventyx, PTnT, VegMgmt, Click and others), systems and business processes.
•Demonstrated experience managing large teams to successfully deliver IT services in an Electric T&D business

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
•Accountablefor formulating and aligning technology vision, strategy, planning and leadership for the design, development, implementation and support of IT solutions required for the EO line of business to achieve its objectives.
•Ensures IT EO technology strategy andplanning aligns with the overall Corporate Strategy (Grid of Things).
•Ensures successful coordination and delivery of new strategic initiatives and pilot programs on time, on scope and within budget.
•Manages transition of Strategic proof of conceptprojects from pilot to production and implementation phase.
•Develops, aligns and manages the execution of technology roadmaps.
•Manages the assessment of risks and the execution of plans to mitigate the risks.
•Proactively provides expertknowledge of industry trends and technologies as it relates to specific opportunities where technology can enhance value to the business and/or addresses a specific business need.
•Assesses and advises leadership on emerging technologies.
•Optimizes ITInvestment which may include reducing and containing IT costs and enhancing business capabilities to increase customer satisfaction.
•Identifies opportunities to optimize IT investments and make business processes more effective and efficient. Directs theimplementation of improvement initiatives.
•Ensures compliance to standards/regulations and governance processes.
•Directs teams of technical, professional and management staff in the successful fulfillment of IT development and service deliverycommitments.
•Manages the establishment of individual and organizational objectives that are aligned with organization goals. Implements PG&E practices for staffing, EEO, diversity, performance management, development, reward and recognition, and retention.
