Director - Marketing - Life Sciences & Healthcare - DHL Express - Plantation


Job description
We are looking for a Marketing Director Life Sciences & Healthcare who will manage the Marketing activities in our CSI Life Sciences and Health Care (LS&HC) sector. You are tasked with developing a marketing strategy to drive awareness for the sector globally and drive demand generation for selected solutions, as well as support building the LSHC internal community.


Key Accountabilities
Project manage the annual global LS&HC Sector Conference
Develop a LS&HC marketing plan (from PR through to Direct Mail, Interactive, Events, collateral, DHL.com), including stakeholder alignment and execution
Build relationships with the divisional Marketing teams for the LS&HC sector and leveraging what they do
Contribute / lead content generation for LS&HC (drafting, leading review rounds, and finishing Marketing deliverables): invite emails/ registration page, sector intranet/ iShare pages, dhl.com pages, solution profiles, articles for Delivered (customer magazine), media material Digital / dhl.com ownership for the LSHC sector
Foster exchange of best practice across the marketing teams
Measure deliverables and processes, analyze the effectiveness and identify opportunities and improvements
Work with the agencies to deliver against approved plans
Interface with regions and countries to maximize leverage for LS&HC sector
Measure marketing deliverables and processes, analyze the effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
Functional project: Lead a functional / best practice xSector initiative - details TBD
Stakeholder management:
Act as interface to sector presidents, sector strategy teams and divisions to align and support strategies and business plans
Build, develop and grow relationships with all relevant internal & external stakeholders

Position Requirements
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 8-11 years' experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 5-7 years' experience
8-10 years' knowledge, skills and experience in marketing or related field
5-8 years' experience in project/ event management
8-10 years' experience in content generation preferably in a Marketing or Consulting context
5 years' experience in the logistics industry; LS&HC sector desirable
Language(s): English (German desirable)
Project management skills/ experience required
Writing and editing skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Engaged team member who is forthcoming with ideas, opinions, etc
Attention to detail; continuous improvement spirit in search of excellence
Quick learner interested to understand LS&HC logistics @ DHL
Strong reporting and analytical skills
Able to set benchmarking and measurement standards
Engaged and positive person
Excellent meeting facilitation, presentation and communication skills. Strong understanding of marketing tactics and planning processes
