Director - Retail Marketing - LEGO Group - Enfield

LEGO® is looking for a Retail Marketing Director to grow and drive the strategy of its Licensing Extended line operations in US and Europe. The LEL team within the LEGO Group works with external partners to develop produce and market LEGO-branded products that enrich the LEGO brand experience. The focus is on engaging customers and creating commercial success through new offerings such as books, T-shirts, costumes, watches and so on.

Take an active role in bringing Licensing Extended Line (LEL) products to market •Develop LEL “Go-to-market” strategy in alignment with the LEGO Group overall market priority and marketing strategy – and steer the implementation through interacting with the Marketing and Sales teams in US and Europe
•Together with your team you will drive market integration by building relations and liaise collaboration across stakeholders – markets (sales and marketing), top retail accounts and partner/distributor – and ensure alignment with their strategies and business plans
•Drive growth and develop our business through creation of new channels and/or integrated presence in US and Europe, with the aim to increase the level of reach of our products while ensuring a strong visual brand presence.
•Support LEL innovation and development process by ensuring local/regional trends and market requirements are raised and supported by relevant insights.
•Be an active member of the Licensing Extended Line Leadership Team, challenging and contributing with new ideas, providing input on new product development and strategy and engage in organizational development in a global context

As a Retail Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing and steering the Licensing Extended Line market strategy in US and Europe. Your mission will be to contribute to the success of the core business and marketing priorities. You will build success by aligning with the local marketing and sales teams and develop new businesses in new retail channels (physical and online). Do you have what it takes? •Have commercial experience gained in a similar role such as marketing, business development, etc. where global strategy and local needs must be balanced. Licensing industry background would be beneficial but not necessary.
•Have a strategic and innovative mind with the ability to see new business opportunities.
•Have exceptional stakeholder’s management and collaboration skills, as you will be required to network and build relationships internally and externally.
•Be a solid communicator with the ability to present and influence.
•Be willing to travel as the role will require mobility to Europe and occasionally to Asia. Total expected travel days per year - approximately 40
•An understanding of different cultures and markets within Europe and/or Asia and the ability to speak multiple languages would be advantageous
