Director - Finance - Prescient - Denver


Job description
We are a fast growing, innovative design software and building technology Company, headquartered in Denver, CO. with over 100 employees and Operations in the USA and Eastern Europe.
We have an immediate opening for a Director of Finance. The successful candidate will direct and oversee Company’s financial operations.
This individual will be responsible for cash and risk management, staff management, budgets, accounting and financial controls, and production of financial metrics relevant to operations and process improvements. The successful candidate must be proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations. You will share responsibilities for all corporate and human resource activities and be responsible for all employee benefits, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities.


Major accountabilities include:
All financial operations and direct corporate financial planning
Structure, coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance
Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
You must have experience with all key areas mentioned. Public company experience and M&A experience preferred but not required. Growth-stage-company experience required. You must have a passion for getting things done, and an appreciation for details. You must believe in continual process improvement and be ready to jump in to handle the day-to-day financial operations of the Company.

Education and Experience:
The successful candidate must have an MBA in Finance or CPA. 10+ years in a financial leadership role is required.
