Group Director - Commercial Applications - The Coca-Cola Company - Atlanta


POSITION PURPOSE:
• Leads a portfolio of high impact use case designed to leverage cutting edge advance analytics, methodologies, capabilities, applications and tools across US commercial channels (retail, foodservice, etc.) and customers to drive profitable growth thru pricing innovation, increased incidence, improved segmentation and precision marketing

• Leads cross-functional business, analytical and technical teams in building digitally informed capabilities (intelligent business models, precision marketing, omni-channel and demand driven) within our commercial teams in support of differentiated execution of commercial programs and segmented and precision applications of data driven insights


• Partners with Knowledge Change lead to ensure clear roadmap consistent with big data vision and cultural principles

REPORTS TO: VP, Decision Science, Data & Technology Strategy

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Design, Integration & Quality

• Lead recommendation on new proprietary data sources when existing data sources are insufficient - including retail, foodservice and warehouse business

• Lead combined advanced analytics and IT teams through design and execution of integrated databases - to ensure database quality, usability, and timeliness
• Create an on-going process for maintaining data quality, and ensures execution of methodology across commercial and IT teams
• Provide recommendation to leadership on continuous improvement to drive Commercial long term roadmap

Analytics & Modeling

• Partners with PRGM and other commercial cross functional teams to determine business needs for targeting customers and shoppers - and to create the data analytics and modeling to deliver actionable targeted insights
• Establish precision and predictive measurement methodologies and standards to drive robust, statistically sound, and consistent analysis across CCNA
• Provides recommendation to leadership on continuous improvement to drive

Analytics & Reporting Tools

• Create business requirements for commercial application of precision and predictive application and reporting tool environments
• Lead relationship with digital and IT to match business requirements to tools that deliver precision, segmented and other advance analytics capabilities and match end user needs
• Lead relationship with digital and IT to deploy analysis & reporting tools
• Represent commercial analytical environment and methodologies in multi-functional IT, PRGM, Channel and business projects that would impact
• Provide recommendations to leadership on continuous improvement to drive advance analytics and knowledge leadership against commercial long term roadmap

Education

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Level:
• Master’s degree in quantitative field is preferred (e.g., MBA, math, market research or other quantitative degree)

Experience

Minimum Required:
• 10+ years of advanced analytical experience
• 2+ years of direct or indirect people leadership

• 2+ years of capability building

Preferred Level:
• 12+ years of analytical experience
• 5+ years of direct or indirect people leadership

Skills

Minimum Required:
Ability to lead and develop others
Excellent written & oral communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics
Outstanding analytic and quantitative skills
Ability to synthesize multiple pieces of data and identify drivers underlying performance
Ability to apply classic statistical tools (linear models, hypothesis testing, sampling)
Proficient knowledge of analytical modeling & segmentation analysis
Advanced knowledge of digital, mobile and data driven marketing and business practices desired
Excellent critical thinking skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel is required (data manipulation, analysis, pivot tables, and charting)
Excellent knowledge of Access, MS Word, and PowerPoint required
Project Management experience required
Excellent understanding of our core business drivers and economic levers

Preferred Level

• Knowledge of PowerPivot preferred
