Director - Payments - World Council of Credit Unions - Madison


Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the management and delivery of WSG payment solutions while maintaining Corporate objective to expand World Council mobile financial service footprint for credit unions worldwide through online and digital innovation and product development with a particular focus on switch, card and mobile solutions.


Primary Responsibilities

Manage and execute business project plan and ensure timely completion of projects within budget with the objective to establish and grow commercial for-profit business including:

a. Envision and implement product solutions

b. Negotiate and manage product pricing

c. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to end users
Lead coherent strategic and commercial framework
Ensure business models, pricing, products, competitive benchmarking and regulatory compliance produce local value for commercial success
Operational Management of:

a. Software development, support and maintenance

b. Switch enhancements & implementation

c. Licensing and vendor relationships, tracking and compliance

d. Quality control

e. Product support and management

f. Transaction monitoring, projections and billing

g. Product development and promotion

h. Network evolution

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, international relations or related fields. Five years previous supervisory experience along with 10 years of prior work in payments industry with a thorough understanding of mobile payments required.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated management abilities and skills in leadership and teamwork, finance and budgets, product development and management, contract negotiations and client service, and the ability to productively and constructively direct and manage a large and diverse portfolio. Must be tactful, diplomatic, and discreet in all situations.

Language Skills:
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English and Spanish required.

Reasoning Skills:
Demonstrated capacity to manage the numerous deadlines directly tied to revenue generation and management of staff. Requires flexibility as priorities may change during the normal course of business. Requires decisiveness and good judgment, and the ability to focus and concentrate from a broad corporate perspective.

Computer Skills:
Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will have supervisory responsibilities of 6-8 direct reports in the US and abroad.

Travel: Domestic and international travel up to 120 days per year.
