Apple is seeking an attorney with 4-8 years of creditor rights, secured transaction and bankruptcy experience to join its corporate legal group as part of the credit and finance team. This position will involve supporting multiple business units at Apple in negotiating and managing collateral in numerous jurisdictions, structuring transactions to mitigate financial risk and advising on international insolvency law.
Candidates should have a strong background in secured transactions, commercial creditor work and creditor rights
Experience with international insolvency regimes, international bank collateral and enforcement of corporate guarantees preferred
Must be a member in good standing of the bar and possess excellent academic credentials
Description
Responsibilities include: drafting, reviewing and negotiating credit enhancement documents, including parent guarantees, standby letters of credit and bank guarantees; supporting Apple’s credit team in managing credit limits of customers and carriers; drafting and negotiating security agreements, licenses and related contracts; supporting Apple’s education and enterprise product leasing initiatives on a worldwide basis; and reviewing numerous other contracts and arrangements from a credit and a bankruptcy-protection perspective, all in multiple jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will be able to provide practical legal and business advice with regard to a wide variety of legal issues that arise in many contexts in connection with credit, bankruptcy, finance and related structuring. Also able to quickly identify, analyze and propose solutions to legal and business issues; will partner with business clients to support business objectives in a manner consistent with applicable law and corporate risk tolerance; and is a strong team player who is proactive, detail oriented, and able to constantly prioritize while handling multiple tasks.
