The director of Laser Programs and Technology will be responsible for the execution of NGAS directed energy programs, to include laser weapon systems and related technology development activities. Responsible for maintaining our market position as a leading provider of DE systems, subsystems, and technology through program execution consistent with cost, schedule, and technical commitments; setting technology development priorities for DE; prioritizing, assigning, and ensuring efficient and effective execution of DE internal technology resources. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Travel required up to 25% of time.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in a STEM related field
Candidate must have 15 years' experience in the aerospace industry
Candidate must have past experience in laser technology and/or engineering technology
Previous management experience
Previous proposal/capture experience
Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters' degree in relevant field
20 years' experience in aerospace industry
Experience with both program management and subcontract management
Active SSBI
