Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking a Senior Director, Global Data Center Operations. Our datacenters are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing hosted and SaaS operates and our innovative services are delivered. The rationalization of our existing data center environment and the new scalable foundation to which to support our growing global business are important next steps in the evolution of Epicor’s data center strategy. Creating a data center vision and strategy, scaling operations, developing management talent, and defining and installing robust processes and standards are just a few of the challenges that will need to be accomplished to advance the organization into global world-class operation.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the datacenter facility operations teams (that are company owned and where third-party colocation services are implemented) across multiple geographic regions, the US, EMEA, and APAC, supporting our SaaS, Hosting & Product Development (PD) Lab services – Server & SAN Infrastructure.
Create and manage the vision and strategy to take the operations to the next level of maturity

Build, lead and manage a high performing global team of server architects, engineers & systems administrators which includes mentoring and developing of the management team and senior individual contributors
Develop a scalable operations model with a well-documented roadmap, goals and objectives
Evolve the staffing model to uptime requirements and the needs of a global world-class organization
Design and implement innovative and robust processes and system management practices; maintain applicable certifications and standards
Define Key Performance Index (KPI) for the datacenter mission critical facility operations and manage to those KPIs.

Ensure customer SLAs and deliverables are surpassed in the delivery of services in support of SaaS, Hosting offerings and production labs
Ensure proper negotiation with vendors and make recommendations on strategic and tactical decisions concerning computer servers and office automation equipment and support.
Prepare and manage OPEX and CAPEX budget
Lead consolidation and rationalization effort for 23+ global data centers

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, required. Post-graduate degree in engineering, computer science, or business desirable.
Minimum of 15 years of leading data center or technical global operations organizations where high availability is a requirement
Management of global data center environments totaling 20+ (data centers) in support of corporate, and customer-facing SaaS and Hosted systems
Experience operating in hybrid environments that include insourced and outsourced data center operations
Experience deploying and operating (data center environments) that include the use of cloud offerings (AWS or Azure) Windows, Linux, Unix, VmWare
Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate at the executive level required
Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
Recent experience successfully leading complex global projects
Recent experience implementing and managing a comprehensive Change Management, Incident, Problem Management, and other ITIL processes on a global scale.
Recent experience rationalizing and consolidating global data center environments on a global scale is highly desirable
Experience in vendor management in an owned and colo environment
Appropriate Security and Audit knowledge required
