Job description
World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Director, Latino Outreach, Climate Change Program. From melting glaciers in the Andes to the disappearing Rio Grande River and droughts in California, the Americas face a common threat in climate change. Across Latin America, leaders are emerging to face this challenge. In the United States, US Latinos strongly favor climate action. World Wildlife Fund (WWF) seeks a motivated leader to guide a new initiative leveraging WWF’s deep presence in Latin America to foster greater collaboration with US Latino leaders and communities. Responsibilities:
Develops, refines and adaptively manages a strategy to: (1) engage US Latino communities and leaders (grassroots/Latino leaders); (2) develop partnerships that promote mutual benefit and advance WWF’s climate change goal and other priorities; and (3) test, monitor and evaluate various engagement approaches to promote internal learning and future program development.
Serves as WWF-US’s primary relationship manager for engagement with US Latino leaders and represents WWF-US in related meetings, at events and with the media to advance the strategy.

Collaborates with WWF-US staff within the Communications & Marketing department to execute the public engagement element of the strategy.
In collaboration with the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Secretariat, engages extensively with WWF offices within Latin America to leverage WWF activities, experts and understanding for purpose of using those assets to engage US Latino communities and leaders.
Collaborates with the Vice President of USGR and team to execute the elements of the strategy designed to influence US government leaders and institutions.
Collaboratively designs and develops processes and approaches for evaluating and monitoring the impact and progress of the strategy, as well as harvesting lessons learned to assist WWF-US in evaluating future engagement strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
