IT Director - Supply Chain Systems - Maxim Integrated - San Jose


Job description
The Supply Chain Solutions IT team at Maxim Integrated has an opening
at our San Jose headquarters for a software development team
director. This position reports to the Executive Director of
Global Manufacturing IT.

Responsibilities will include: Building and leading a strong disciplined software development team to support the critical supply chain functions of Maxim; Partnering closely with the supply chain management team and other key stakeholders to define and execute system improvements; and, Facilitating key data modeling and IT system design/architecture changes and improvements.

This role will work closely with other organizations and the corporate IT team as we define and
execute key supply chain reengineering and improvement projects. Come be part of the fun from the beginning! Essential job functions include:


Hiring/Building a strong team.
Partnering with other teams and stakeholders in the Supply
Chain Management organization and Maxim to define and execute value
propositions (supply chain system improvements).
Working with the team to systematically identify and
address system failure modes (data related issues, bugs, etc).

Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations
Research, or Management Information Systems required.
10+ years of experience in IT related job duties. At
least three of those years should be managing a software development
team. Experience architecting IT systems a plus.
Experience with JDA, SAP, or other enterprise supply chain
planning tools a plus.
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry a
plus.
Knowledge of operations research concepts (dispatch, network
optimization, heuristics, etc.) a plus.
Experience with and strong knowledge of software development
lifecycles required, including Agile and/or Xtreme Programming (XP)
methodologies.
Experience with or knowledge of data modeling design tools a
plus (eg: ERWin, Enterprise Architect, or Oracle SQL developer data
modeler, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to build and motivate a strong team of
business analysts and software developers.
Experience with a commercial or homegrown system monitoring
tool a plus (Nagios, Big Brother, Xymon, etc.).
Proficiency with structured problem solving and/or lean
manufacturing tools and techniques required (e.g. 8D, Failure Mode
Affects Analysis, Kaizen, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including
high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
