Director - Media - Hotwire - Bellevue


Job description
Position Overview:
Hotwire is looking for an exceptionally talented senior media professional to build media into a competitive advantage for Hotwire, driving differentiation in the crowded online travel agency space. This person will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring our offline media strategy, overseeing the media budget and our media agency relationship. Hotwire is rebuilding its marketing team -- this is a great opportunity to join a growing team and have significant business impact. This role will be based in Bellevue, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set annual communication goals for Hotwire brand and develop annual media plan.

Oversee media strategy and serve as the lead media contact with agency partner.

Identify, develop, and lead execution of targeted fully-integrated programs.

Gather and analyze appropriate research to provide sound, strategic, consumer-insights driven media recommendations to Senior


Management, and Brand and Creative teams, where appropriate.

Proactively seek out new strategically-aligned media opportunities that effectively deliver ROI and achieve agreed on goals.

Outline research roadmap for media testing to identify ways of optimizing media mix.

Develop process to analyze the effectiveness of all media, including key lessons learned and ROI analysis, to provide direction for future strategies and programs.

Track media plans and flowcharts, and maintain overall media budget control across all media platforms.

Ensure execution of media and communications plan by monitoring buys and/or schedules.

Forecast budgets and oversee all media authorizations, invoicing, and accounting procedures.

Lead negotiations and facilitate execution of Agency Services annual contracts.

Work with appropriate marketing and product teams to identify, develop, and manage measurable and effective sponsorships and partnerships.

Drive traffic, conversion and key brand health metrics with positive ROI.

Qualifications:

Deep agency or client side media planning experience

Proven ability to work with outside agency partners

Demonstrated results working across Hotwire's core and emerging platforms: TV , digital (eg: pre-roll online video), print, OOH, radio

Thought leadership on the forefront of advertising and media trends; online, mobile, social as well as traditional offline

Deeply analytical, able to test and validate ROI of different vehicles

E-commerce, Internet, travel, or consumer/retail experience a plus

A professional 'get it done' attitude and work ethic

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:

7+ years

BA required
