Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is a world leader in Memory, System LSI and LCD technology is looking for a Director to lead a combined Datacenter and Mobile Solutions team in San Jose, CA.

Position Summary:
This individual would manage and grow a team of solutions architects who will be responsible for working with customers and the ecosystem to develop differentiated solutions tied to Samsung’s products.
Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead Datacenter Solutions Team
Lead Mobile Solutions Team

Lead customer engagements to enable Samsung differentiated features for product growth in the market.
Lead external ecosystem strategy.
Develop and foster relationships with key customers.
Monitoring and enhancement of the solutions development process
Personnel recruiting and management

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors I Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.
15+ years experience in the storage industry, with a solid track record of delivering top line and bottom line results.
Personal rolodex and relationships with either key datacenter customers or key north America mobile customers.
Conversant technical knowledge in emerging storage applications (noSQL, relational databases, etc.)
Experience in driving a new initiative across a company and into the ecosystem.
Management experience of leading small to large teams.
Necessary Skills/Attributes:
Is comfortable working in a multinational environment.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change and/or be flexible.
Ability to lead and direct the activities of senior level engineers to achieve customer solutions.
Ability to communicate in writing, through email, reports, orally and formal presentations technical matters to an audience of equal technically oriented listeners.
