Director - Sales - Pyramid Solutions - Bingham
Job description
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for team that sells software solutions to medium and large companies. The Sales Manager will lead the sales team who are responsible for developing and closing new business with prospects as well as existing customers within their assigned territory. The Sales Manager will coach the team during prospecting, qualification, proposal development and presentation, will be responsible for negotiating pricing and will actively drive closing the sale. Adherence to the Pyramid’s defined Sales process and Sandler Sales system is critical to continuing our growth.
Lead the sales team of 5-6 Account Executives in opening new target accounts in the industry segments we target:
Insurance (P&C, Life)
Financial/Banking (Commercial, Wealth, Consumer and Mortgage)
Manufacturing (Discrete and Process).
Ensure that all Account Executives are following the company's standard sales process and the Sandler Sales System
Mentoring the sales team and growing the team’s selling skills and capabilities
Achieving/exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets
Meet with key clients and maintain executive-level contacts
Territory planning, Sales forecasting and Strategic Sales planning
Travel with Account Executives to execute the above items will be required (on average 30-40%)
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
3+ years prior experience leading sales teams that sell software based solutions, specifically into targeted new name accounts with deal sizes that range from $100K to $1M+
Proven leader, mentor and coach with the ability to drive sales teams to meet quotas
Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations
Passion for being in front of customers and traveling 30-40% of the time
Ability to understand customers' business, needs, challenges and expectations
Personal commitment and strong leadership skills
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
Must be willing to work/live in Southeast Michigan area (Relocation Available)
Education:
Bachelor’s in business or marketing (MBA preferred)
Travel:
Average of 30% - 40% throughout the USA
MBOs:
Close $12-14M in Services and Software sales to new and existing accounts
