Director - Sales - B2C - Optoma Technology - San Francisco

Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Direct and manage the retail and e-commerce sales channels
P&L Responsibility
Manage the B2C channel sales team
Develop and coordinate selling cycle and methodology
Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new product development
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
Oversee inventory management
Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets
Directly manage major and critical developing customer accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts
Participate in the development of new project proposals
Establish and implement short and long range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to support, maintain and grow the B2C sales channels
Represent the company at various trade shows to promote the company and its products.

Must have strong relationships with top retailers such as Best Buy and Amazon.
Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.
Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop five year and ten year business plans for the business unit and company.
Recruit, train, develop, supervise and evaluate sales staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in strategic planning, execution, and P&L management.
Experience in managing outside sales representatives.
Strong and existing relationships with top retailers/etailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, Staples and B&H.
Ability to leverage existing relationships with top retailers so that it results in revenue for the company.
Proven track record of successfully managing a technology retail product business.
Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
