As Director of Marketing, you bridge the technical and business worlds as you design innovative ways to create and promote services and solutions that our members love. A proven track record of creating and executing on a marketing strategy, while getting their hands dirty.

A media rock star with demonstrated success in Communication, PR and Social marketing in a B2B environment.
A in-depth knowledge of online media and how to utilize media & social channels to get our content found by our audience.
A creative mind capable of coming up with creative ways to create, repurpose, and promote content to drive traffic and membership.
Solid experience managing influencers and working with them to co-produce and co-promote content.
A solid understanding of metrics and how to measure and iterate on a content marketing plan.
Self-motivated, highly self-sufficient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
Work in close partnership with CEO and senior management team to develop and implement an internal and external communication, branding, marketing, and public relations plan to advance Worldwide ERC®’s strategic vision and broaden awareness of its programs and priorities among current and future members.

The Director will be responsible for creating and executing, an innovative and quantifiably effective marketing and communication plan designed to achieve maximum impact and to promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s brand promise.

Primary Essential Duties
Develop and execute the annual marketing plan, metrics and budget, in concert with the company’s strategic initiatives.
Create, execute and measure the success of market strategies for all company products and services; including membership, conferences, professional development, and research.
Identify our key customers and their personas to strengthen the organizations understanding of their needs and how they research/buy services; incorporate this understanding into Marketing Communications positioning, messaging, and tactics.
Design and implement new business marketing activities targeting prospects and members, including analytics plan to gauge effectiveness and ROI of tactics.
Utilize CRM for campaign management; ensure leads are effectively captured and moved through the process; track campaign progress and adjust campaign strategy as needed.
Oversee online/digital marketing and content strategy. Direct team to successful implementation.
Produce and oversee execution of a comprehensive social media plan that engages our customers, offers relevant content for each specific platform, develops brand awareness, and generates inbound traffic.
Develop trade publication and online advertising plan; oversee end to end production cycle and publication of monthly magazine.
Develop PR plan to effectively reach a strategic mix of industry, business, and local media.
Develop relationships with key B2B and industry media to keep Worldwide ERC® positioned as industry expert and resource.
Source/vet/lead selection process of key vendors (brand, design, consulting, web, video, digital, social, etc.) and oversee their initiatives to ensure brand integrity, consistency, performance to SOWs and adherence to budget.
Ensure all marketing and communications uphold Worldwide ERC® brand standards. Work with branding agency and internal teams to maintain clear branding guidelines and ensure global brand consistency.
Establish a system of reports and communications for other teams including Membership, Meetings, and Leadership.
Build relationships with other department leaders for messaging and goal alignment.
Contribute to overall growth of Worldwide ERC® through participation on leadership team.
Report on marketing activities and associated results metrics.
Other Worldwide ERC® projects as requested by CEO.

Budget Responsibilities
Direct budget responsibility.
Ensure Marketing team adheres to budgets and performance goals.

Management Responsibilities
Direct management responsibility; head department of four professionals.
Maintain and monitor team workload, performance, and service delivery quality.
Determine performance metrics and set goals for excellence.
Ensure successful completion of direct reports’ performance goals.
Assess developmental needs and assist in the initial and ongoing training and education opportunities.
Conduct annual performance reviews and recommendations for promotions and disciplinary action as appropriate.
Oversee allocation of resources and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service.
Provide guidance for team members regarding the resolution of routine as well as complex operational and customer service situations.
Participate in the interview, hiring and retention of highly engaged employees.
