Job description
Manage the activities of product managers, marketing managers and merchandising managers - evaluating their performance, improving them through mentoring and training to improve execution and achieve objectives and desired performance metrics.
Lead the development and execution of product planning strategies.
Interface with external providers to launch new products and enhancements.
Negotiate favorable terms with new and existing product providers.

Measure the ROI of products and the total portfolio; act accordingly to replace underperforming products and or improve product performance by altering the product go-to market plans.
Travel to visit customers and providers as needed.
Have a thorough working knowledge of contractual agreements. Such agreements include the terms of the epay contracts with product providers as well as the epay contracts with retailers.
Responsible for creation and rollout of merchandising plans in epay’s retail partner locations.
Responsible for creation and rollout of promotional activity in epay’s retail partner locations.
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of point of sale materials, displays and racks to retail locations.
Lead competitive intelligence and market research analysis.
External and internal communication
Internal communication will include working closely with other epay employees such as the operations team, the sales team, account managers, customer service and finance. Internal communication will include working with company operations staff to coordinate retailer launches and rapid rollout of new products. External communication will include communication with providers and product providers. The Director will be accountable for the training of internal staff for new product launches as well as to manage existing product categories to ensure internal staff is driving category growth. The Director must deliver frequent communication of product metrics to ensure internal staff is aware of their performance.

Reporting
The Director will, at a minimum, report monthly sales and profitability metrics to the senior management team. This reporting will include a comparison of results versus forecast. Other reports and forecasts may be required on a periodic basis.
Teamwork
This function involves working directly with other employees, direct team members, suppliers, and merchant personnel.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product or related field; or the equivalent combination of work experience and college-level education.
5 or more years of experience in product and marketing. Must be highly detail oriented.
Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a pleasant and professional attitude toward co-workers and customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present information, status and issues in a clear and concise manner with the goal of driving a decision.
Successful track record of product development and management as well as a strong understanding of consumer marketing.
Excellent forecasting and reporting skills are required.
Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and consensus without direct supervision.
Experience managing and motivating a team.
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Travel - may be required to travel which will require overnight stays. Estimated travel is not expected to exceed two to three days per month.
Knowledge of prepaid industry preferred
Candidate must have an unrestricted right to work in the U.S.
Relocation is not covered with this position.
