Under minimal supervision, the Director, HR Operations will be responsible for driving and developing the alignment of US Human Resources functional areas and workstreams through the identification of process improvements and streamlining and prioritization of core functional business initiatives. This role will partner with Global Centers of Expertise, HR Partners, and external clients to ensure new and existing priorities are designed striving for harmonization, efficiency, and cost effectiveness and global alignment.

Partners with Human Resources subject matter experts to identify opportunities to harmonize, streamline and improve HR policy, procedure and process, to ensure optimal efficiency and output, identifying areas requiring functional alignment and driving initiatives to create consensus across teams and approaches
Identifies current and future opportunities to continuously improve HR approaches and processes, online and offline, across all functional disciplines of HR while making recommendations and proposed implementation approaches partnering with subject matter experts and functional owners to ensure compliance
Propose and implement changes to policy, process and procedure across the US to create consistent approaches across all labels and business units while seeking global alignment where applicable
Acts as a key liaison point with internal and external auditors to plan and respond to requests, coordinating required inputs from various HR functional areas and ensuring a timely response
Partner with the SVP, HR Operations and subject matter experts to ensure US based initiatives are tracked, standardized, communicated and vetted regularly and captured on the global HR Calendar, regularly assessing progress against the plan and escalating delivery risks to the SVP, HR Operations
Partners with HR Generalists and US centers of expertise providing local project management and prioritization of activities to key stakeholders. Makes recommendations regarding feasibility for delivery, taking account of risks, resources and business constraints where appropriate.
Champions the identification of process improvement in order to facilitate collaboration and partnership across Global Human Resources
Facilitates ad hoc and planned sessions to review ways of working, principles of engaging and find resolution to issues and risks
Partners with legal, compliance and IT security teams to standardize commercial terms and services with local US HR vendors, adhering to WMG standards and competitive vendor selection
Aligns vendor management activities with global approaches as determined by –Senior Management
Develops standard frameworks and approaches to review HR vendor performance and support specialist and generalist teams to optimize external partnerships that fulfill HR service requirements and strategic initiatives
Prepares affirmative action plans and related analysis in conjunction with third party vendors
Responsible for the preparation of EEO-1 and Vets-100 forms as well asother government filings.
Co-ordinates the preparation of Group Program documents including but not limited to cover letters, Separation and General Release Agreements and exhibits.
Coordinate all immigration matters with HR Generalists and outside counsel and assist in visa and green card process for employees. Respond to all immigration questions and initially review outside counsel invoices for approval.
Support the Compensation and Benefits team in Global Mobility initiatives as required
Coordinates the preparation of all WARN and other state mass layoff notifications to employees and government officials.
Works with members of the HRIS team to ensure US reporting requirements are delivered, standardized, scheduled and responded to, both ad hoc and cyclical.
Develops subject matter expertise across a range of Workday functional areas, such that recommendations can be shared in order to standardize and automate approaches and enhance online and offline performance.
Identifies gaps and root causes of issues (people, process, technology) making recommendations for resolution and implementing solutions (i.e. payroll interface, employee onboarding, and time-tracking).
Identifies and participates in project opportunities to develop and enhance HR service delivery and team capability where appropriate and in line with the HR roadmap.
Years of Experience/Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent education/experience)
Six plus years of experience in Human Resources or related field
Competencies/Skills:
Knowledge of HR operations and/or HR Generalist/Business Partner, and project management
Exceptional knowledge of HR organizations, principles, processes and policies, including but not limited to legal and compliance frameworks within the US
Knowledge of working with vendors, vendor contracts and service delivery
Excellent written and oral communication, stakeholder engagement skills, with strong influencing skills and ability to build credibility and rapport quickly
Knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Workday experience advantageous
Ability to learn new software and technology
Prior experience in creating and driving consensus across teams in order to enhance their performance, with strong influencing, communication and engagement skills
Demonstrates experience of applying methodologies and frameworks to drive continuous improvement
