Job description
Position Summary
The Director, Industry & Product Marketing - Aviation is responsible for the overall marketing strategy for WSI's Aviation division overseeing product marketing, sales enablement and marketing program development. The ideal candidate will have product marketing expertise, a strong voice in the aviation or aviation-related industry, launch experience with new products to market, and customer lifecycle marketing experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee product marketing for both existing and new solutions for the Aviation industry
Maintain responsibility for product launch and lifecycle plans. Must have the ability to craft messages for complex, mission-critical products, focused on competitive differentiation
Develop fully integrated strategic marketing plans for WSI’s Aviation vertical, managing internal resources to establish effective programs that drive opportunities
Understand the Aviation landscape and our products and customers, serving as the “industry” expert and product evangelist, providing market and competitive insight to our prospects, customers and the industry at large.
Deliver insight and analyses back into the organization to ensure product strategies align with customer and market needs
Work closely with internal WSI departments, including product management, engineering, marketing and sales to ensure achievement of revenue targets through effective launch programs, sales enablement and optimal pricing strategies
Collaborate with global sales leaders, serving as the “go to” individual responsible for sales enablement initiatives (market positioning, competitive landscape, Challenger presentations, demos, etc )
Establish a working relationship with the sales team in each geography; includes making customer calls and presentations
Ensure customer requirements that are fed from sales teams are effectively translated to product enhancements, extensions and new product

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent knowledge
7 years of related product marketing experience with at least 2 years’ experience in the supported industry, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Deep understanding of the competitive landscape, current trends, business issues and industry-specific technology
Proven success in developing and executing multi-platform, value-building initiatives with quantifiable results and corresponding metrics
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritize all responsibilities accordingly
Demonstration of strong technical savvy, excellent project management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities
Demonstrated experience working with enterprise B2B sales team.
Proven ability to translate technical solutions into compelling value propositions and business cases
