Job description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Performance Improvement Manager is a member of the Management Committee of the site. She/he is in charge of leading / facilitating / coordinating the Steering Effort to implement sustainable processes that will lead the site to achieve excellence in Safety, Quality and Performance.
She/he is measured on the processes implemented and their penetration in the organization and its culture. She/he is not measured on the actual performance of a department: the responsibility of performance is the one of the Department heads.
She/he drives the implementation of new processes and ensure their sustainability at the cell level by being involved in the training of the cell managers and departments heads , following-up with assessment and tracking appropriate leading indicators.
She/he relentlessly coaches employees at all levels on the respect / non-respect of the new processes implemented and is able to clearly articulate the how the changes / non-changes will affect the company in the long term.
She/he the liaison with Corporate when discussing performance improvement projects / processes and has influence on the direction the organization is taking has a whole (not only site level). She/he ensure the coherence of the local implementation of performance improvement processes with the direction taken by the Corporation.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
This position requires a miminum of a bachelors degree in an engineering or technical function. This position requires a minimum of 8 years of performance improvement experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong project management experience is required. This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple groups. Experience in TPM/Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred, Candidates with experience in beauty or consuner packaged goods are preferred.
