Director - Financial Reporting - Fox Sport Media Group - Beverly Hills

Job description
This position will primarily manage the Fox Sports Media Group's internal financial consolidation process and reporting, assist in determining appropriate accounting treatment, and support both internal and external audits. Also responsible for specialty functions such as: Program Rights & Sports Production accounting, Fixed Assets, bank reconciliations and other. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal and partnering skills who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities. This position requires collaborations with various finance and corporate reporting group.

Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of financial reporting packages to senior management
Ensure standardization and consistencies in financial reporting & general ledger functionality across the Fox Sports Media Group
Interface with internal and external auditors
Perform various SOX procedures
Ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Specialty/Shared Service functions /Other:

Responsible for reviewing and overseeing specialty functions within accounting dept.: Program Rights/Production Accounting, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliations, FSMG Holding Company's, Financial Systems standardization and Other shared service related items
Ensure Program Rights and Production process is consistent across FSMG and implement efficiencies and standardization
Ensure timely completion and review of monthly and quarterly 21CF reporting submission
Provide oversight, leadership and direction to staff. Develop and train staff
Ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Technical Accountant Duties
Work with Finance to review and analyze joint venture and partnership documents to ensure appropriate accounting and reporting for the entities and transactions.
Work with FNG Financial reporting group on interpretation of new and proposed accounting standards and pronouncements impacting the sports media industry.

Qualifications
BA or BS in accounting; CPA required
Several years public accounting experience, preferably at manager level, with consolidation and financial reporting experience
Strong GAAP knowledge
SOX audit experience preferred
Excellent analytical and communication skills with all levels of personnel, as well as organizational and administrative skills
Proficient with Excel; knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One or Enterprise level general ledger system a plus
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Entertainment industry experience preferred
