Position Summary
If you haven’t heard, Citrix ShareFile is the most exciting data sharing and synchronization technology for businesses. ShareFile allows you to create a secure space where you can exchange business files with clients easily and securely. You can send large files by email, conduct a secure file transfer or set up a collaboration space for project-related files. It plays a key role in Citrix mission of enabling mobile work styles.

ShareFile provides a web interface to the data stored in the cloud. The rich HTML interface allows users to perform many basic operations like download, upload, move and copy. But also provides users with the ability to perform more sophisticated things like sharing, collaboration, reporting and auditing.


The team follows agile methodologies and deliver new releases every two weeks. This is a fun and fast pace environment. If you like to write code, get things done, be challenge with tough problems and love to work with smart people, this is a place where you will have a lot of fun. What might you be working on?

The ShareFile engineering team is responsible for the core software & technology behind the ShareFile product. This includes mobile apps, web apps, tools, APIs, SDKs and databases. The team focuses on ensuring the usability, reliability, performance, and high availability of mission critical customer data.

You will be working on defining the strategic product plan and technical vision aligning with business goals. You will be driving highly rewarding projects with very measurable results.

Here are some examples of the things you might be working on:

Help drive up business growth by leveraging deep understanding of technical, customer and competitive trends
Strategic planning with execs to build an agile product roadmap. Oversee execution of cross-functional projects to deliver high quality products
Help define the technical vision for complex business critical applications on premise and in the public/private cloud. Drive game-changing applications that push Big Data scale, leveraging relational and/or NOSQL/NewSQL technologies
Role model a risk-taking culture to promote innovation. Deftly balance agility and processes to deliver incremental product enhancements
Lead deep technical reviews of design and code that challenge existing assumptions. Use a judicious mix of 3 rd party software and vendors to compliment in-house product development
Hire and coach managers & engineers to build a high-energy fun environment
Drive the org to quarterly business and engineering goals

Qualifications and Requirements

What are you bringing to the table?

Proven ability to oversee delivery of enterprise class, highly scalable and high performance software. Expertise driving multiple parallel projects from concept to release
Proven track record growing existing products to the next level in terms of scalability and innovation. Ability to assimilate customer needs and translate them into features
Depth and breadth of experience in various tools and technologies – including but not limited to web applications, networking, security, mobile, SaaS, Cloud, Open Source, Java/J2EE, .NET/C#, MySQL/SQL Server, iOS/Android
Experience solving Big Data problems leveraging AWS, Azure, Hadoop, NOSQL, NewSQL
Collaborative entrepreneur able to seamlessly operate at various levels – influencing execs, championing architectural/process improvements, and driving cross-functional teams
Demonstrated success in hiring talent and building global high-performance teams
Seasoned leader and innovative, hands-on agile practitioner
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
