Job description
To support continued rapid growth and launch of new platforms and music services, the Milk team is currently seeking an outstanding, proven technologist and leader to serve as:
DevOps, Engineering Director
This mission-critical role reports to the VP of Engineering of Samsung’s Milk music service and requires an engineering or other relevant technical degree, plus 10+ years of engineering and recent DevOps experience and 3+ years as a highly effective senior manager or director delivering state-of-the-art consumer facing cloud applications and services.

Desired Skills and Experience
Technical skills should include most of the following:
-Engineering or relevant technical degree, and software development background
-Advanced knowledge of AWS and version control systems (snv, p4, git, etc).
-Experience with automation solutions such as Rundeck, Salt, or similar.
-Experience with configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet, CFEngine or similar technologies.
-Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system and network programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash, shell, etc.).
Management and Leadership skills should include most of the following:
-10+ years of continued advancement and proven first level engineering management experience
-Experience hiring and leading high-performing engineering and DevOps teams that deliver mass-market, superior, 24x7 cloud based mobile media services such as streaming music, video, online games, eCommerce or social applications.
- Player/coach style and ability to roll up your sleeves and dive into technical details and assist with critical technical problem solving
-Respected thought leader and outstanding executor in new design and implementation, as well as, upgrades and maintenance of ops tools and automation framework components
-Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, relationship building, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
-Strong cross-functional teamwork and negotiation skills resulting in win/win outcomes
-Strong process development and execution skills successfully managing and delivering large, complex releases across multiple functions and teams
