LTL Business Development Director/Director or Solutions

This position is for a Transporation and LTL expert, if you have at least 8 years of experience in Transportation this may be for you! Main tasks include: complete solution design work with pricing leadership,design LTL business strategy and grow large customer and carrier relationships.



Lead Schneider Transportation Management’s (STM) solution design, sales, account management and service execution as it pertains to the less-than-truckload (LTL) portfolio. This position is responsible for conducting P&L account reviews and developing and implementing strategies to achieve the company’s profitable growth and strategic goals specific to contract LTL.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for STM’s LTL Account Management, service and execution of contract LTL business.
Accountable for growth and penetration of existing LTL customers.
Owns solutions design of new business opportunities. Ensuring engineering design drives value for the customer and STM.
Identifies market penetration opportunities and target customers to drive contract business.
Builds strong relationships with carriers and ensure process excellence.
Educates RLCs and STM in general on LTL opportunities, wins, and progress to goals; keeping the LTL explosion front of mind for sales people and leaders alike.
Develops an effective way to move LTL, expanding our customer solutions capability.
Assists new business development by acting as SME for LTL. Support STM through on-site visits, working to enhance their LTL knowledge and sales processes, discussing industry trends and changes with LTL.
Develops business strategy and annual operating plan that is consistent with the Enterprise Strategy
