National Sales Director Experienced in Group Insurance
Prudential’s Group Insurance Sales & Account Management team is seeking a National Sales Director who will be responsible for developing and maintaining solid relationships with the broker/consultant community that ultimately yield large case sales in a defined territory. This position will be responsible for sales for groups 10,000 employees and over in the Mid-Atlantic region (Pennsylvania south through South Carolina). The National Sales Director will stay current with the pulse of the marketplace and competition, as well as actively promote new product and capability launches.



Daily activities include, but are not limited to:
• preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) reviews and plan design recommendations for National Account cases.
• working closely with our Underwriting, Contract and Compliance teams to negotiate the best deal for prospective clients, while also maintaining the profitability of the case.
• preparing and presenting capabilities presentations—with confidence and sophistication—to clients, brokers and consultants that clearly differentiate Prudential from our competition by highlighting our products, services, capabilities and overall value proposition.

Desired Skills and Experience
• 10+ years of Group Insurance experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
• a thorough understanding of Group Insurance products, strong financial understanding, and an understanding of general pricing, reserving, and underwriting tools.
• exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• established relationships/contacts with broker/consultant community and strong professional reputation in defined territory. Ideal candidate will have strong relationships in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C and Charlotte.
• proven consultative selling skills and the ability to convey Prudential’s differentiators to the marketplace with ease and confidence.
• ability to obtain a state Group Life and health insurance license within 30 days of hire.
• ability to obtain a NASD license within 120 days of hire
