Digital Marketing Email and Web Development Director

The Oracle (previously Responsys) creative team acts as an agency within the larger company, providing digital marketing strategy, production and development services – ideating, consulting, design, copywriting, code development and testing – for leading brands in retail, technology, travel, finance and beyond. Reporting directly to the Director of Creative Services, the Email and Web Development Director is responsible for technical leadership and customer satisfaction for email, mobile, social and web development work for regional Oracle clients. They manage four senior reports directly, and are ultimately responsible for team of over 20 web developers’ work quality and professional growth. This director needs the professional agility to represent and communicate for our code development team throughout the rest of the larger organization. They stay abreast of technology and contribute to industry innovations and advancements, securing both their own and Oracle’s position as best-in-class.

Responsibilities

Directly manage a team of four Email and Web Development Managers, assigning tasks, managing workload and forecasting resource needs
Assume ultimate responsibility for the entire organization of over 20 Email and Web Developers
Manage the email, mobile, social and web code execution and overall client satisfaction for leading brands from retail, travel, finance, insurance, hospitality and B2B industries and beyond
Serve as the face for the team throughout the larger organization
Establish direct relationships with clients and educate them on best practices, process, and emerging trends, while also handling client escalations
Work directly with internal project managers to gather requirements and see projects are completed successfully
Grow existing creative customer business by finding opportunities to embrace new technology as it relates to marketing strategy
Build relationships between offices and different disciplines through open communication and knowledge sharing
Drive our team’s position as an innovative digital creative thought leader by keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies in the digital space

Desired Skills and Experience
Must have at least 7 years of related industry experience
Must possess experience working across email, mobile social and web channels
Expert in front end and experienced in back end development
Must have demonstrated experience fostering innovation, creativity, collaboration, and professional growth of direct reports
Must have proven experience building teams, recruiting and retaining top talent
Must have proven experience scoping, resourcing and forecasting workload
Must understand how to work with executive management, sales, strategists, account management and technical staff
Must manage technical relationships and integrations with partners and vendors
