Director - Human Resources - BitTorrent - San Francisco

Role
Reporting to BitTorrent’s CFO, the Director Human Resources will own the HR function of a 170+ person rapidly growing & exciting software company.
Develop and administer BitTorrent’s benefit initiatives
New Hire orientation
Immigration processing
Compliance for 100+ person international organization
Manage the recruitment of personnel into the company as it continues to grow
Lead the formal annual objectives setting and performance review process; identifying and addressing people performance issues and remediation plans
Understand and develop competitive compensation practices
Manage and resolve any employee legal issues, working closely with BitTorrent General Counsel
Maintain and continue to develop the Employee Handbook, processes and procedures
Help build and manage BitTorrent’s employee culture
Build BitTorrent learning and training program to support individual growth

Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates will posses a strong combination of the following experience:
7+ years HR experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in a rapidly growing start-up
Experience managing, planning and implementing HR project and strategic change initiatives
Ability to establish strong working relationships within the organization
Knowledgeable of San Francisco, California, and Federal law compliance
Detailed oriented and well organized with the ability to adapt to ever changing corporate initiatives
Ability to work with a broad range of personalities to achieve HR goals and objectives
