Director - US Public Relations - MediaTek - San Diego

MediaTek is in need of a seasoned and talented public relations individual to drive efforts related to the support of US Public Relations. This newly formed vital function is part of the Corporate Marketing organization. The Director of US PR will drive strategy and innovative ideas that promote MediaTek’s brand, products and highly strategic position in the fabless semiconductor space. This individual will be able to articulate with passion who MediaTek is by sharing our market leadership and pioneering efforts in cutting-edge SoC solutions for wireless communications including smartphones, intelligent home solutions, navigation devices, 802.11 products and technologies, smart TV’s, optical storage, DVD and Blu-ray products. The ideal candidate will be technical as well as have the ability to market an idea.

Desired Skills and Experience
•10 years minimum in the technology space
•Multiple degrees in English, Journalism, Technology and/or Engineering.
•Exemplary writing and proofing skills in English.
•Outstanding, advanced Power Point and MS Outlook skills.
•A relationship oriented personality who cares about developing rapport with new media while nurturing existing relationships.
•Travel approx at 35%
•Ability to work a varying daily schedule which may mean early mornings and later evenings.
