Where you can help: We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader to own the end to end experience and business metrics for one of three teams.
The Snapchat broadcast experience currently made up of Snapchat Stories
Camera and media capture experiences
Customer Identity and Account Lifecycle
Impact: You’ll be an integral part of Snapchat’s engineering leadership team. You’ll be managing a lean but, rapidly growing team. Our users send 700M+ snaps/day, making it one of the most-used apps in the world. Snapchat story views doubled in the last two months to greater than 1 Billion views / day.

What you’ll do:
Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments; Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an lean start-up environment
Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team driving customer focused business outcomes in your area of ownership.

Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Designing and developing simple solutions to complex, interactive customer experiences.
Strong technical credentials, with at least 5 years experience managing software development teams, with hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience
Development expertise in: OOP, Java, and mobile applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders
