Director - Strategic Sales & Business Analysis - Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment - Los Angeles


Job description

This role will be in charge of International Sales Data management and reporting, as well the integration of new data feeds into the Fox system such Digital Tracking (DHD & VOD). Analytical mind set a must. Individual must be savvy in data systems and have the ability to quickly manage and analyze sales data. Experience in providing detailed analysis and reporting on industry sales data is preferred. Ability to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis for presentations to all levels within the company, utilizing data from both internal Fox data warehouse as well as GfK, Nielsen, UK Official Charts Company and other sources for reporting and analysis. Individual must also have the ability to manage databases to insure that quality and timely delivery of industry data meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities/ Activities:

Technical Systems Support/Enhancement/Troubleshooting:
Oversee weekly validation of data to ensure reporting accuracy
Work with IT to enhance reporting tool capabilities
Help integrate new data feeds for International POS or Digital Tracking
Develop reports within systems to streamline information flow across divisions
Develop new processes in data reporting to help address business needs
Data Systems Development & Integrity Management:
Maintain and update system clean-up across 12 territories for international sales data and global digital data by working with IT and outside vendors.
Manage new data feeds by outlining specifications for flat file integration and reporting tools
Manage the quality assurance of sales data on a weekly basis for international sales data and digital tracking
Compile comparable international sales data from multiple data sources to help validate data
Analytical Support:
Provide analytical support for international sales data and provide strategic insight to help the organizations business objectives
Utilize international sales data to identify trends and sales opportunities
Generate weekly/monthly standardized International reporting
Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis
Collaborate with Market Research, Finance and Sales and Marketing and Corporate teams on various analyses and projects
Analyze emerging platforms and understand their impact on the home entertainment business
Compile competitive data from multiple sources to evaluate past and future market performance

At least a Bachelor's degree in business oriented field, strong mathematical and problem solving skills.
Must have 5+ years experienced data management or analysis
Ability to manage a team of data analysts
Initiative, self-motivation, prioritization skills and a strong sense of urgency are essential.
Detailed oriented and organized.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience building methodologies for analytics & insights practices to address business objectives
Must have the ability to work in a team environment and interface well with associates at all organizational levels. Excellent communication skills to all levels within to the company (written and verbal).
Proficient with MS Office productivity tools such as Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint
Conceptual and working knowledge of database and data warehouse systems.
