Supplier Account Director - European Supply Chain - Philips - Andover

Your Challenge
The Supplier Account Director for the European supply chain is responsible for the development and implementation of outsourcing strategies supporting Philips Healthcare with special focus on business units centered in Europe. This key strategic position is responsible for managing outsourcing costs, R&D engagement and strategy alignment, long term security of supply, supplier performance, and establishing a preferred supply base to be utilized by Philips Healthcare business units.

Your Responsibilities
In this role as Supplier Account Director for the European supply chain, you will be responsible for the following:
· Participate in developing aggregate Philips Healthcare sourcing strategies and policies;
· Ensure optimal supplier pricing, supply responsiveness, quality, and contractual compliance;
· Provide procurement direction and management leadership to Philips Healthcare business units relative to outsourcing commodity;
· Manage external executive level relationships with key suppliers;
· Maintain industry intelligence on technology trends, sourcing options, and competitive pricing;
· Measure and report commodity performance objectives against Philips annual operating plans.

The Outsourcing organization is responsible for developing global purchasing strategies and managing commercial relationships of electronic manufacturing services (""EMS"") providers which sell goods and services to Philips Healthcare business units. The organization is comprised of global supplier account managers responsible for specific EMS supplier relationships, sector commodity managers for components and materials, quality and cost engineering personnel. The members of the team are located in many diverse locations across the United States, Netherlands, Europe, greater Asia, India and China. The Outsourcing organization within Philips Healthcare Procurement collaborates closely with Philips Healthcare business units as well as other Philips sectors (IE Philips Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle.)

We are looking for
Experience/Education:
· BS or BA in engineering; MBA preferred.
· Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years progressive responsibilities managing large spend outsourcing portfolios
· Comprehensive understanding of outsourcing industry and sourcing in low cost manufacturing venues
· Superior data management skills utilizing Excel, Microsoft Access
· Knowledge of Should Costing or Activity Based Costing methods
· Prior commercial experience in an outsourcing environment is essential.
· Purchasing experience sourcing commodities on a global scale preferably in Healthcare industry
