Senior Director - Sales - Vocus - Washington


Job description
The Senior Director will report to the VP of Sales and is responsible for leading, developing and motiving their sales teams. These teams consist of sales directors and sales reps that are focused on building territories and driving revenue.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the performance of multiple sales teams each managed by a sales director
Hiring and developing sales directors and sales reps
Holding sales directors accountable for developing sales reps and their performance
Working with senior management to identify areas of opportunity/ improvement
Provide the VP with insight as to what the business needs are, tactically and strategically
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements

Minimum of 7 years sales experience with at least 4 years in a sales management role preferably 2 years of second tier management
Experience leading a commercial sales department preferably:
Sales leadership in the SaaS space
Sales leadership in the Marketing Automation space
Experience hiring and developing top tier sales directors and reps
A track record of success in a fast paced, high growth environment
History of exceeding sales goals and increasing sales revenue
Bachelor’s degree (MBA Preferred)
